Some years later when Azucena moved to Puebla State, she entered “UDLAP” [Universidad De Las Ameritas Puebla] where she graduated in Communications and Mastered in TV and Radio. She did not forget her great passion for dance, which continues to practice in her free time.

Her first job was in Televisa Guadalajara where she learnt to produce, edit, and write her own interviews. Just a year later, at the end of 2000, she was welcomed by Univision’s show “El Gordo & la Flaca” as a reporter. This gave Azucena the opportunity to interview latin artists like: Julio Iglesias, Raphael, Juan Gabriel, among many others. But she also interviewed American artists such as John Travolta, Eva Mendez y Jessica Alba.

During her 5 years at “El Gordo & la Flaca” Azucena was chosen to host 1^st edition of prestigious “Premios Juventud” where she gained Duranguense Movement’s respect and admiration since she was one of the first people to believe and support groups as Durango’s Horoscopes”

With more than 10 years experience, in July 2007, this charismatic Mexican, entered “Al Rojo Vivo” team, where she has interviewed important celebrities such as Cindy Crawford, Daisy Fuentes and Ricky Martin, transforming her interviews in “unique and revealing”. In the show Azucena is responsible for the fashion segments and because of her great work in this field she is catalogued as “Fashion Lady”. In 2008’s summer she was chosen to conduct “Bluemarine” collections. She was also invited to participate as a panelist to the special program “The Best and Worst Dressed” of People en Español. She currently is a co-host of a hit morning show in telemundo “ Levantate “

Azucena’s other love is her son Santiago born from her marriage to Javier Cierco. With them she enjoys her hobbies: ride bikes, travel, listen to music and like a good fashion lady: simply buy an exclusive piece or a good pair of shoes.
